The media is ignoring most of the devastation in Western North Carolina and East Tennessee in the wake of Hurricane Helene. That makes it difficult to separate fact from fiction in some cases. There’s a lot of nonsense and trolling happening on social media that’s false, but a lot of people are falling for it. Fortunately, the federal government likes to write stuff down sometimes when it makes announcements. This makes it easier to sort some facts from the obvious fictions. For example, the eminently obnoxious FEMA is prioritizing hurricane aid to illegal aliens, while only offering $750 to American families who have lost everything.

Yeah. They wrote that down.

FEMA sent out a notice on X.com (formerly Twitter… ugh… Elon, will you please just change the name back?) this week. They announced that “qualified non-citizens” may qualify for hurricane relief aid.

Who are these qualified non-citizens? As usual, the Biden-Harris regime is being deceptive in answering that question. Permanent residents (green card holders) are first on the list and that makes sense. Next on the list of qualified non-citizens are non-citizens granted asylum and refugees. Those are one category but since no one in the Biden-Harris regime has ever bothered to read the Refugee Act of 1980, they probably don’t realize that.

Here’s the deception in that statement. Every illegal alien who has breached the sanctity of our southern border for the past four years has been paroled into the United States as a “refugee”—even though none of them legally qualify for refugee status. They’ve been granted asylum by Border Czar Kamala Harris.

To qualify as a refugee, a person must be fleeing their home government because they are facing persecution for their political, religious, or ethnic background. They must be able to prove that their government would persecute or kill them if they went back home to be granted asylum. Another important rule is that for a person to qualify as a refugee, they must request asylum in the very first safe country they arrive in after fleeing their home country.

That’s the definition of a refugee. The UN agrees on this and the definition is stated in the Refugee Act of 1980. (We read it so you won’t have to.) Under that definition, the only people in the entire world who could ever qualify as refugees in the United States are Canadians and Mexicans. The illegal aliens that Kamala Harris has been allowing into the country have sometimes traversed more than ten countries to get here without requesting asylum. They’re not refugees. They’re permanent welfare leeches looking to scam the American taxpayers.

The Biden-Harris regime is only too happy to help with this. The reason why FEMA is broke and asking for more money from Congress this year is because the agency already spent hundreds of millions of dollars on coddling illegal alien invaders. That money was supposed to be set aside for hurricane season but they already spent it.

It’s so insulting. It will take months to get the power back on in many parts of rural North Carolina because Joe Biden sent all the repair equipment to Ukraine. Kamala Harris announced $157 million in aid that the government is sending to Lebanon the other day. That was before she offered Americans that insulting one-time payment of $750.

Kamala Harris should change her campaign slogan to “America DEAD Last.” These people don’t care about Americans at all. Why else would FEMA be offering disaster relief to illegal aliens at a time like this?
