When “once in a lifetime” occurrences like the Hale-Bopp Comet come around, people tend to do atypical things. For many, it’s something cute like launching doves or maybe spending the day staring at the sky. This most recent solar eclipse saw many people staring through special glasses to see the eclipse as it took place. However, 22-year-old Taylon Nichelle Celestine of Georgia chose to go another route entirely.

Checking out of her Florida hotel, she told workers there she was heading out on a shooting spree due to the solar eclipse. Hopping on the I-10 115 miles east of the Alabama border, she ran west on the Florida panhandle and, within 5 miles, was already dumping rounds towards passing cars. She hit one and coated the driver with auto glass, cutting him in the process. A second driver got it worse and took a round to the neck. Thankfully, due to being near a hospital, they are expected to recover.

Surprisingly, she made it 16 miles down the road and was apprehended by police. Found to be in possession of a semiautomatic rifle and a 9mm pistol, she was arrested and booked into the Holmes Country jail. Now, she’ll be facing charges of attempted murder, aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, and improper discharge of a firearm.

No accurate motive for the shooting has been made available, as is usual with the liberal media when the shooter is a minority or a woman. In this case, the shooter is both, so we are even lucky that they released her name and mug shot at this point. No matter how this plays out, rest assured they’ll find a way to twist this more than usual.
