Several senior Trump officials have reportedly relocated to military housing near Washington, D.C., after facing repeated threats, doxxing, and harassment outside their homes. The move, driven by security concerns, has drawn outrage from liberal media outlets who accused the officials of “hiding from the public.”

According to The Atlantic, at least six Trump administration members have made the move, including White House Deputy Chief of Staff for Policy Stephen Miller and his wife, Katie. The couple relocated after months of protests outside their Arlington, Virginia home.

Protesters posted flyers in their neighborhood labeling Miller a “Nazi” and accusing him of “crimes against humanity.” Sidewalks outside his home were covered in chalk messages calling him a “White nationalist” and claiming he was “destroying democracy.”

The group Arlington Neighbors United for Humanity even posted a message to Instagram on September 11th saying, “Your efforts to dismantle our democracy and destroy our social safety net will not be tolerated here.”

Katie Miller later told Fox News host Sean Hannity that a protester once warned her, “I’m watching you,” as she left her house.

The Millers are not alone. Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem also moved into military housing at Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling after “a surge in death threats and vicious doxxing” followed a media outlet’s release of her D.C. apartment address.

Tricia McLaughlin, Assistant Secretary at DHS, confirmed to Fox News Digital that Noem relocated temporarily for safety but “is paying fair market value for her temporary use of the facility.”

Left-wing publications have criticized the officials for moving into protected areas. The New Republic ran an op-ed accusing them of “hiding out on military bases so they don’t have to be exposed to the public that hates them.”

The Daily Beast mocked Miller directly, writing, “Top White House aide Stephen Miller has become the latest Trump administration official to score a taxpayer-subsidized military home, shielding him from the type of people he hates the most: left-wing agitators.”

The Independent described the decision as a “bunker mentality,” while others claimed the relocations signaled “polarization” in American politics.

Meanwhile, multiple officials told The Atlantic that their moves were not political statements but acts of necessity. One senior Trump aide said they relocated “in response to a specific foreign threat.”

Other Trump Cabinet members, including Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, are reportedly living in historic officer housing at Fort McNair, known as “Generals’ Row.” According to reports, the number of senior civilian officials residing in secure housing is higher now than in any previous administration.

White House deputy press secretary Abigail Jackson condemned the media’s coverage and pointed to a broader issue of escalating violence against conservatives.

“Deranged leftist lunatics have targeted not only President Trump — who survived two assassination attempts — but also members of his Administration,” Jackson said.

“This is a direct result of elected Democrats repeatedly smearing Republicans as Nazis and fascists. Democrats are inciting their followers to plot and take violent action against political opponents. Mainstream media outlets should be asking Democrats why they are fomenting political violence, rather than attacking individuals for wanting safety,” she added.

The violence has become more alarming in recent months. A study released earlier this fall found that left-wing political violence is at a thirty-year high. The concern only deepened after conservative activist Charlie Kirk was assassinated in September.

In a post after Kirk’s death, Katie Miller made clear that no amount of intimidation would force her or her family into silence.

“To the ‘Tolerant Left’ who spent their day trying to intimidate us in the house where we have three young children: We will not back down. We will not cower in fear. We will double down. Always, For Charlie,” she wrote.

For now, several members of Trump’s administration are living under military protection — a sobering reminder of how divided and dangerous America’s political climate has become.
