Pregnant Woman Injured in Tesla Attack Amid Anti-Musk Violence Surge

A pregnant woman was seriously injured last week after a two-pound rock crashed through the windshield of a Tesla in Vancouver, Canada — part of what police fear may be a growing wave of politically motivated attacks on Elon Musk’s vehicles and customers.

The incident occurred on the night of March 30 as the electric vehicle traveled north on Nanaimo Street. The rock struck the passenger side of the Tesla, injuring the woman before landing on the floor of the car. Thankfully, officials say she is expected to recover, but the outcome could have been fatal.

“We are working to determine whether this was a criminal act, and if someone intentionally targeted this Tesla,” said Vancouver Police Department Sergeant Steve Addison. “This very serious incident could easily have resulted in someone’s death, but for a few inches.”

Investigators are urging anyone with dashcam footage or information from Nanaimo Street between East 29th and East 22nd between 8:40 and 9:00 p.m. that evening to call 604-717-4021. As of now, no suspects have been identified.

But this isn’t an isolated case. The attack marks just one of 28 Tesla-related incidents Vancouver authorities are actively investigating — all since January 20, the day after President Donald Trump’s second inauguration. Police say the incidents appear to be driven by anti-Musk, anti-Trump sentiment.

A “Tesla Takedown” protest movement has escalated in the U.S. and Canada in recent months, fueled by Musk’s public backing of Trump, his role in the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), and his vocal criticism of far-left policies. Now, it seems that rage is boiling over into violence.

Out of the 28 Tesla-targeted events in Vancouver alone:

  • 19 attacks hit Musk-owned facilities or EV charging stations, including spray-painted hate symbols, smashed windows, and eggs thrown at Tesla vehicles.
  • 9 attacks involved private Tesla owners, with reports of rocks and liquids thrown at moving vehicles, vandalized windshield wipers, and racist graffiti.

Police say zero such incidents occurred in 2024, highlighting the sudden, sharp rise in politically charged hostility toward the brand — and Musk himself — since the start of Trump’s second term.

The latest incident involving the pregnant woman has only intensified public concerns. In response, Vancouver has deployed 130 additional officers across the city to monitor Tesla-related events and protests.

This surge in anti-Tesla violence is just one part of a broader trend. Across the U.S., multiple dealerships have reported arsons, vandalism, and threats against employees. Meanwhile, activists online have cheered these attacks, accusing Musk of being a “tech dictator” and “Trump enabler.”

It’s clear the left-wing hatred for Musk has shifted from Twitter rants to real-world violence — and innocent people are getting hurt. What started as online outrage has morphed into coordinated acts of aggression targeting a private company and its customers.

For now, the pregnant woman’s survival is a blessing. But with tensions rising, authorities fear it’s only a matter of time before a Tesla-related attack ends in tragedy. As Sgt. Addison put it: “This could have been a fatal act, and we are treating it with the utmost seriousness.”
